Schaap Sanitation: Schaap is in town every Monday for garage pickup and every other Wednesday for recyclables. The time that they are in town is not always the same, it can be as early as 4:00am! If you want to make sure your container is being emptied, PLEASE PUT THEM ON THE CURB THE NIGHT BEFORE!!!! I spoke with them and they will not set a time, it varies based on which driver is taking the route. Thank you for your cooperation.

Recycle Shed & City Hall dumpsters: There is a red and white shed behind the former bank building, this is for Round Lake residents to put larger items for recycling pickup. If you have filled your container and just have extra recyclables, they can go in the green containers at City Hall. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS FOR RESIDENTS OF ROUND LAKE or others who pay for a utility service from the City of Round Lake ONLY! The dumpsters by City Hall are also available for the residents when they have filled their own containers. Keep in mind, it is illegal to use another person’s dumpster without their permission.

Colder Weather: The temperatures are going down, now is a good time to make sure your furnace is running properly. Stay warm and have a safe heating season, get your furnace checked and replace those filters.
