2017 January Newsletter

The City Council: The next City Council meeting will be on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 at 6:15pm at City Hall.

The Caring Community Group: Would like to say “thank you” to all businesses who donated to the drawings at the community breakfast in December. A good time was had by all and the turnout was better than last year! Both Bethel Lutheran Church and First Presbyterian Church are involved in the Caring Community Group.

Conservation Improvement Program:  The City of Round Lake offers rebates for installation and use of energy-efficient ELECTRICAL appliances. See the back of this page for details.

Dog License:  2017 dog licenses are due! Please stop down to City Hall and pay the $2.00 per dog to satisfy your responsibility as part of the Round Lake community. It’s in our ordinances that all dogs need to be licensed and on a LEASH AT ALL TIMES!!!! Thank you.

REMINDER!  City ordinance states “no vehicles or other items are to be parked on the street during snowfall, until AFTER snow removal is done”. PLEASE honor this ordinance! Having vehicles parked on the street makes it dangerous for the plow drivers and risks damage to your vehicles. Thank you in advance!

SNOW REMOVAL: Do NOT push or blow snow onto your neighbor’s property, it’s disrespectful and they don’t appreciate it. City Ordinance states that you are not to blow snow into City streets either. Clear snow around mailboxes to make it easier to deliver the mail, we all need to work together to make the winter months better for all of us!

Gas Meter & Carbon Monoxide Safety:  Remember to keep your gas meter clear of snow and ice for your family’s safety! See enclosed flyer for safety tips regarding carbon monoxide also!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Both meals are worth the drive and you won’t be disappointed! Show your community pride and let them cook for you.
