The Nobles County Board of Review took place at City Hall on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 9:00am. Councilmembers present were Court Baumgard, Walon Habben, Gary Larson and Mayor Doug Knuth. Others present were Terry Pigman – CMA, County Assessor Valerie Ruesch, Property Appraiser John Meyer and Property Appraiser Ben Puthoff.
Meeting was called to order at 9:00am by Mayor Doug Knuth.
County Assessor Valerie Ruesch presented the sale of property information for Round Lake.
Steve Abbott from BAR Properties was present to request a decrease in valuation for the property located on 2nd Ave. Property appraisers John Meyer and Ben Puthoff increased the % depreciation from 80% to 85%. Motion was made by Baumgard with a second by Habben to approve the decrease in valuation. All ayes: Carried.
30% obsolescence on Commercial Properties was applied for the 2017 tax year and all residential obsolescence was removed. County Assessor Valerie Ruesch explained the obsolescence is a special discount that didn’t need to be applied and was removed after evaluation of the properties.
Motion by Larson, second by Baumgard to adjourn. Meeting was adjourned at 9:32am.
