The next City Council meeting will be on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017 at 6:15pm at City Hall.
Building Permits – If you need a building permit, please stop in City Hall and get an application. These are approved at a Council meeting and the deadline to be on the agenda for the August meeting is August 10th! Please don’t start construction until you have the permit approved by the Council.
Round Lake Senior Citizens Center – The Round Lake Senior Citizens Center would like to thank all of the volunteers for the generous time and work to help re-shingle the Senior Center building. They would also like to thank all of the ladies who brought food and served the volunteers. Everybody’s help was greatly appreciated!
Golf Cart Permit – The City has an ordinance regarding golf carts. If you are driving them on the city streets, you MUST have a permit sticker. They can be purchased at City Hall for $5, if you are caught by police without one, it will cost you more. All you need is the name of your insurance company and a rearview mirror on your golf cart. Let’s be safe and follow the rules!
Lost & Found – If anyone has found a lanyard with keys on it, please bring it up to City Hall. Thanks!
Lawns and Weeds – The weather has been quite dry, but the weeds seem to thrive in the sunlight. Please take a few minutes to look at your lawn and remove any tall weeds that are unsightly.
Survey Alert for Residents – Seventhwave and the Center for Energy and the environment will be conducting telephone surveys for our electric and gas utilities. If you receive a call, they will ask you about your household, energy-using equipment and building characteristics, as well as demographic data. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION SUCH AS SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS, BANK ACCOUNT OR CREDIT CARD NUMBERS OR DATE OF BIRTH, they will NOT be asking for that type of information. There is a complete notice posted at City Hall if you are interested. Calls will be made between July 19th and September 30th, 2017 and participants are selected randomly.
Dog License – If you STILL haven’t gotten your 2017 Dog License, you are required to have each dog in your house licensed according to the City Ordinance. Reminder that ALL dogs are to be on either a leash or chain when outside. AT ALL TIMES! There have been many reports of dogs running loose. If you see a dog running loose, please call the Nobles County Sheriff’s office at 507-295-5400.

Mosquito Spraying – Reminder!!! They will be spraying for mosquitoes on August 14th and 28th.
RL – Brewster School – Open House Tuesday, August 29th from 4:00-7:00pm. School starts Tuesday,
September 5th!
Labor Day – City Hall will be CLOSED on September 4th.
