The Round Lake City Council met in Special session on Tuesday, June 18th, 2019 at 6:00pm at City Hall. The purpose of this meeting was to address the Round Lake Vineyards & Winery request for extension to connect to the Round Lake wastewater treatment ponds.
Meeting was called to order at 6:03pm Motion by Cunningham, second by Larson to approve the agenda. All ayes: Carried.
Motion by Cunningham, second by Habben to disapprove the request from the Round Lake Vineyards & Winery and deny the extension. Rollcall of votes was requested and individual votes are detailed below: In reference to allow for an extension, Councilmember Cunningham – No, to extension. Councilmember Rehnelt – No, to extension. Councilmember Habben – No, to extension. Councilmember Larson – due to conflict of interest, was unable to vote. Motion carried.
Councilmembers present were Paul Cunningham, Jennifer Rehnelt, Walon Habben, Gary Larson and Mayor Douglas Knuth. Others present were, Martin Waage, Linda Koning, Brent Kavitz & Tom Madden – SEH, Dennis Johnson – Wenck, Diane Larson, Scott & Jennie Ellenbecker – Round Lake Vineyards & Winery, Bruce Bentele, Derek Nelson, Clerk Elaine Walker and by conference call, Abram Peterson – MPCA.
Motion by Habben to adjourn, second by Cunningham. All ayes: Carried.
