The next City Council meeting will be on Wednesday, June 8th, 2016 at 6:15pm at City Hall.

Gas Budgets: For Natural Gas ONLY will be starting again this month.

Lawns: Please keep your lawns mowed! The City does have an ordinance stating grass and weeds are not to grow on any property to a height of more than six (6) inches.

Sump Pumps: Please take your sump pump hose OUT of the sewer and put it outside.

Utility Payments: Are due by the 15th of each month. The City will be enforcing their shut off policy if not paid in full each month in accordance to the City policy. Avoid added charges and pay your utility bill ON TIME and IN FULL by the 15th!

Minnesota Department of Health: There is a $6.36 charge on your utility bill this month. These funds are collected and are forwarded to the MDH, they use these funds to cover the expenses involved with the testing of public water systems in the state.

Bad Weather: This is the time of year for storms and tornadoes. The local Fire Department does send out spotters during the storms and the county will sound the siren if there is tornadic activity in Nobles County. Please keep an eye on the TV and listen to the radio to be alert during stormy weather.

Electrical Problems: If you are having outside electrical problems, PLEASE call City Hall at 507-945-8127.

Burn Site: It is illegal to start a fire in the burn bit, unless you are a City employee! Please let us take care of burning at the City Burn Site! Only tree branches and lawn waste, such as leaves, are allowed at the burn site.

Building Permits: Please remember if you are doing any new construction, removal or repair work (including fences & decks) you need a building permit. The City Council will approve this permit at their meeting, so you need to stop in City Hall to get an application and ask to be put on the next City Council meeting agenda BEFORE you start the project.

Pork Chops at the Legion: The Round Lake American Legion will be serving a pork chop dinner on Saturday, June 18th, 2016 from 5:00PM – 7:00pm or until gone! Enjoy an evening out and support our community!

Gopher One Call: You MUST call Gopher One Call BEFORE you dig, it’s the law. You may call either 811 or 1-800-252-1166. This includes any kind of landscaping that you are digging or driving stakes in the ground. New gardens would fall under this category!! Be safe, call first!

U&I Garden Club: Saturday, June 4th, 2016 the U&I Garden Club will be having their annual plant sale in the Round Lake Fire Hall. The plant sale is from 9-11am and there will be rolls and coffee served at the Senior Center next door. Stop down and have a snack while shopping! Plants go fast, so come early!

Red Cross Bloodmobile: The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Round Lake at the Round Lake American Legion on Monday, June 27th, 2016 from 2:00-7:00pm. All types of blood are needed!  No appointment is necessary, but you may call Lynn, at 507-945-8122, if you would like to schedule one.
