2019 January Newsletter

The City Council: The next City Council meeting will be on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019 at 6:15pm at City Hall.

The Caring Community Group: Would like to say “thank you” to all businesses who donated to the drawings at the community breakfast in December. A good time was had by all! Both Bethel Lutheran Church and First Presbyterian Church are involved in the Caring Community Group. Thanks to all who put it together, also!

Dog License:  2019 dog licenses are due! Please stop down to City Hall and pay the $2.00 per dog to satisfy your responsibility as part of the Round Lake community. It’s in our ordinances that all dogs need to be licensed and on a LEASH AT ALL TIMES!!!! Thank you. You will need to show proof of rabies shots for all dogs that you buy a license for, I can make a copy of your info at City Hall. PLEASE remember to pick up after your dog when taking them for a walk and they do their business. Respect others in the community by taking care of your animal. Thanks!

REMINDER!  City ordinance states “no vehicles or other items are to be parked on the street during snowfall, until AFTER snow removal is done”. PLEASE honor this ordinance! Having vehicles parked on the street makes it dangerous for the plow drivers and risks damage to your vehicles. Thank you in advance!

SNOW REMOVAL: Do NOT push or blow snow onto your neighbor’s property, it’s disrespectful and they don’t appreciate it. City Ordinance states that you are not to blow snow into City streets, either. Clear snow around mailboxes to make it easier to deliver the mail, we all need to work together to make the winter months better for all of us!

Gas Meter & Carbon Monoxide Safety:  Remember to keep your gas meter clear of snow and ice for your family’s safety! See enclosed flyer for safety tips regarding carbon monoxide also!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

City Hall:  Will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 to observe the New Year’s Day holiday! City Hall will also be CLOSED for Martin Luther King, Jr Day, Monday, January 21st, 2019!

Both meals are worth the drive and you won’t be disappointed! Show your community pride and let them cook for you.

American Red Cross Bloodmobile:   The Am. Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Round Lake at the American Legion on Tuesday, January 22nd from 2-7:00pm. Power Red donation will be available. For more information, call 945-8122 or sign up online at redcrossblood.org. Bring a friend!
