The next council meeting will be held on Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 6:15 p.m. at City Hall.

Public Hearing on Thursday May 16, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall in regards to Rural Water and new water rates.  Following this meeting there will be a hearing regarding the Continuation of the Municipal Liquor Store.  Interested citizens are urged to attend.

The Round Lake City Council wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to all those who helped in any way with the clean up resulting from the storm on April 10th.  Also thank you for your patience during the time the electric power was out.

Public Hearing for School Consolidation – Wednesday May 8th at 7:00 p.m. at the Brewster School Gym and Wednesday May 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the Round Lake School Gym.  Interested citizens are urged to attend.

Monday May 27th City Hall will be closed for the day to observe Memorial Day.

Stump grinding and removal – you must have a Gopher State locate – Call 811

Spring clean up will be Monday May 6th and Tuesday May 7th.  Appliance pick up will be Wednesday May 8th – make sure you get a sticker otherwise your appliance will not be picked up.

Budgets for GAS ONLY will be starting in the month of June.  The Budget Plan will be from June to next April.  The Budget Plan is paying equal monthly payments.  If you have been on the Budget Plan in the past year, you will automatically be set up again, unless we hear different from you.  If you are interested in getting on the Budget Plan, call City Hall right away. 

Remember any resident doing any new construction, removal, or repair work (that includes putting up a fence or car port) MUST get a building permit.  The council approves this permit at their meeting so you must have one filled out before the meeting. 

Noble County Law Enforcement will blow the Tornado Siren on the local water tower ANYTIME there is a warning in the COUNTY.

Reminder the City Park is a tobacco free facility.

The City of Round Lake has a leash ordinance that prohibits your dog from running loose at any time.  If your dog is running loose, anyone may contact the Sheriff’s Department.  All dogs must be licensed by the City of Round Lake.

PLEASE don’t let your dog dirty up the park—–after all—–the entire park is for children to play in.  Also don’t let your dog dirty on other people’s property when you are walking your dog.  They don’t appreciate it.  If your dog dirties, pick it up.

The burn site is for burnables only!!  If you see anyone throwing out anything else like appliances, furniture, tires, etc.  PLEASE let City Hall know who is doing it.  Your help will keep the burn site open.  It would be much appreciated.

The Legion will have a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday May 5th – serving from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

 If anyone is interested in having a rummage sale on May 9th, 10th, and 11th, call Linda Koning at 945-3155.  She will coordinate the sale and the publicity.

The Elementary School Music Program will be held on Tuesday May 14th at 6:30 p.m. at the Brewster School.

Friday May 17th is the BIG day for the Seniors – Graduation Day – at 7:00 p.m. at the Round Lake School.

The last day of school for the Seniors is Friday May 17th and for the other students is Wednesday May 22nd.

Monday May 27th is Memorial Day.  There will be a program at the Round Lake School starting at 10:30 a.m.  Stacey Gustafson will be the speaker.

US Again – clothing and shoe recycle container is sitting in front of Pit Stop – put clothes in closed plastic bags.

Changes are coming—Legion Lounge will be extending hours of operation.
