The next council meeting will be held on Wednesday May 7, 2014 at 6:15 p.m. at City Hall.
Monday May 26th City Hall will be closed for the day to observe Memorial Day.

Round Lake Municipal Gas will be conducting a natural gas safety survey May 13TH and 14TH. If you receive a phone call and are asked questions regarding natural gas please take the time to answer the questions appropriately. This will help Round Lake Municipal Gas in its efforts for public awareness on natural gas safety.
Please read – the city has always had a utility disconnection policy for non-payment and it will be enforced so you must pay your utilities in full every month to avoid disconnection.
Spring clean up will be Monday May 5th and Tuesday May 6th. Appliance pick up will be Wednesday May 7th – make sure you get a sticker otherwise your appliance will not be picked up.
Pit Stop hours – Monday thru Thursday 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. —– Friday 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Budgets for GAS ONLY will be starting in the month of June. The Budget Plan will be from June to next April. The Budget Plan is paying equal monthly payments. If you have been on the Budget Plan in the past year, you will automatically be set up again, unless we hear different from you. If you are interested in getting on the Budget Plan, call City Hall right away.
The City of Round Lake has an ordinance regarding dogs. It states no person shall keep any dog within the City without securing a license from the Clerk. No dog shall be permitted to run at large within the limits of the City – must be kept on a leash. No person shall own, keep or harbor any dog which habitually barks or howls. A dog causing a noise, disturbance or annoyance for a period of five (5) minutes is defined as a nuisance. Anyone may contact the Sheriff’s Department and report these complaints.
PLEASE don’t let your dog dirty in the park—–after all—–the entire park is for children to play in. Also don’t let your dog dirty on other people’s property when you are walking your dog. They don’t appreciate it. If your dog dirties, pick it up.
The city is receiving complaints regarding yards that have become cluttered and messy. It would be appreciated if you could pick up those items that don’t look like grass or trees.
The city is also receiving complaints regarding junk cars sitting in yards. PLEASE get rid of them.
Remember any resident doing any new construction, removal or repair work (that includes putting up a fence or car port) must get a building permit. The council approves this permit at their meeting so you must have one filled out before the meeting.
Reminder the City Park is a tobacco free facility.
The burn site is for burnables only!! If you see anyone throwing out anything else like appliances, furniture, tires, etc. PLEASE let City Hall know who is doing it. Your help will keep the burn site open. It would be much appreciated.
NoblesCounty Law Enforcement will blow the Tornado Siren on our local water tower ANYTIME there is a warning in the COUNTY.
The Legion will be having a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday May 4th – serving from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
US Again – clothing and shoe recycle container is sitting in front of Pit Stop – put clothes and shoes in closed plastic bags.
Monday May 26th is Memorial Day. There will be a program at the Round Lake Legion starting at 10:30 a.m. Bill Brockberg (Nobles County Veteran Service Officer) will be the speaker.
The Elementary School Music Program will be held on Thursday May 15th at 6:30 p.m. and the last day of school will be Friday May 20th.
